Custom Illustrations

Custom Illustration prices span a very wide range from $250 for small spot illustrations and coloring pages to $7500+ for large murals, detailed maps, large family portraits and very technical drawings, industrial, medical or instructional illustrations. depending on size, scope, usage, reference materials, research, layout and design. Below are some of my more common projects.

Illustrations are drawn by hand, scanned into the computer and digitally colored for print ready, easily scalable multi use images. These images can be printed onto any substrate, canvas , wood, metal, vinyl, acrylic, paper, cloth, and any number of products. I encourage people to look at their investment as an opportunity to use the artwork in a variety of ways. Make a portrait into a family crest, print it for your mantel, make matching sweatshirts, mugs, blankets, puzzles, keychains, stationary and holiday cards. 

I charge by the size of the panel I draw the original image at. The larger the panel, the more detail I can include. Large pieces often consist of several panels all pieced together. Some drawings can grow over 5 feet long.

I can not stress this enough, the finished piece no matter what size I draw it, can be printed anywhere from 3 inches to 30 feet. The amount of detail is one of the major elements that determine the price, because detail takes time and time = money. 

What you get:   Print ready or web ready illustration for all of your print and marketing needs, delivered as high resolution jpegs, PDF  and any additional file formats you may need. Printin is not included in every package and is an additional fee. You own printing rights to the art the moment the final is approved and can print as much as you like in any way for antiquity. You can also isolate objects and print in whole or in part. You are entitled to make and sell and profit off of any illustration made for you, as long as the ED HOSE signature is visible on applicable artwork. Note, Logos do not typically contain the artists mark. The flights to the artwork are shared with the artist who is able to use elements of the drawing for personal portfolios and examples/ 

A deposit is required to get on the Calendar. 

Payments may be broken down into Deposit, First Draft and Final Draft.

Balance is to be paid in full upon final approval
